This limited-edition 1/4-scale collectible rendition of Lugosi's Dracula, from the 1931 black-and-white classic, is the third 1/4-scale horror icon from Sideshow Collectibles. Accomplished by portrait artist Andy Bergholtz, Dracula comes highly detailed with a hand painted likeness that captures the original color palette, authentically recreating the nuances of the black and white film. The 1/4-Scale Premium Format figure has a sturdy wire body armature that has flexible poseability in the arms, and clothing details and fabrication achieved by large-scale figure artist, Greg Mowry. The figure comes with a stone platform display base, featuring a finished base bottom printed with the figures title and edition size. Through the looming Carpathian Mountains, the lawyer Renfield journeys to Castle Dracula, in hopes of arranging the lease of Carfax Abbey in England, with the enigmatic Count Dracula. After ignoring a local innkeeper's grave warning that Dracula is a vampire, Renfield boards a coach that will take him to Borgo Pass, where he has arranged to meet the Count. Disguised as a coachman, the Count awaits him at the prearranged spot, and takes him on the long and tempestuous ride to Castle Dracula. Welcoming Renfield to his ruined castle, the Count leads him upstairs to a more inviting chamber. Once the real estate deal is finalized, Renfield is given a drugged glass of wine and faints while being accosted by a large bat.

Bound for England aboard the ship "Vesta", the now insane Renfield keeps vigil over Dracula's coffin in the cargo hold. With a lifeless crew, the derelict ship drifts into Whitby Harbor, and crashes into the docks therein. The lunatic Renfiled is discovered, raving and feasting on rats and insects, within the hold of the ship, and is then committed to the private asylum of Dr. Seward.

Dracula eventually makes the acquaintance of Dr. Seward and his beautiful daughter, Mina. She quickly becomes one of Dracula's unsuspecting victims and falls ill. Dr. Seward's friend, Professor Van Helsing, detects that a vampire is to blame for her illness, and suspects the Count to be the culprit. As dawn approaches, Dracula abducts Mina and brings her to Carfax Abbey. Renfield then escapes from the Seward's asylum and unwittingly leads Van Helsing and Mina's fiancee, John Harker, to Dracula's lair...

Bela Lugosi is the quintessential vampire, Dracula. After the tragic death of first choice Lon Chaney Sr., Universal went to the relatively unknown Hungarian immigrant to fill the role of the Count. Lugosi's portrayal of Dracula made the character an instant icon, and influenced the way this, and other vampires, would be played for years to come. The film itself was directed by Tod Browning, who worked from an adapted play of Bram Stoker's classic novel, to bring the creepy atmosphere of Dracula's world to life in 1931. The film is considered by many to be the grandfather of the horror genre, and Dracula himself was recently voted among the Top 50 Villains of All Time by the American Film Institute
